Lost Coast, by Ryan Daniel Hammer, is the dissolution of years spent exploring an Either/Or lifestyle. It is the rising of a new way, a way seeking the path through separation & categorization, a way embracing Both/And in every aspect of life.
After experiencing music-making in many forms with many friends over many years, Ryan decided to let go of the music he had been holding within himself & his computer's hard drive. It wasn't an easy process. Several years would pass before the right set of circumstances and realizations would lead to the set of songs found on Lost Coast. But through the faith and encouragement of friends, and the goodness of knowing, finally, the value of letting things go, Ryan found a way to let these songs pass through him, to let Azoth, the measureless spirit of life, flow freely from Source to Creation.
An album influenced by various mystical traditions & an enthusiastic love for the works of Philip K. Dick, Lost Coast offers listeners a unique experience, an opportunity to journey within a land where lost is good, where time untethers, and every moment stretches toward (and yearns for) the elusive immanence of the Infinite.
